On the one rainy day in April 2014, 40 Kennedy biology students took a field trip to the newly renovated Point Molate Beach park. Several plant and animal specialists, historians, and conservationists met the group at the park. Students were lucky to see seals, nesting birds of prey, and a vast variety of plants that call Point Molate home. This was the first time a school group had ever been invited to visit the park, however it marks the beginning of a relationship between Kennedy and Point Molate.
