• Dear Families,

I hope that you and your children were able to get some much needed rest this summer. This year has brought many challenges, but I am certain with commitment and partnership, we can make the 2020-21 school year a fantastic one here at Pinole Middle School!

My name is Kit Aguila. I will be the Case Manager and classroom teacher for your son/daughter this year. A little about me, I have been teaching high school students since I graduated from the University of the Philippines in 2013, and this is a truly exciting time for me as it will be the first year that I’ll be working with a younger group. Another thing, my husband I recently got a corgi and we are loving each day with her. Our puppy might be making appearances during live classes, just a heads up!

As a case manager, I will provide support and assistance to your child so that he/she can have a positive and successful learning experience. I am your child’s primary teacher Monday through Friday and I work with four paraprofessionals and several service providers to help your child achieve their unique IEP goals.

With the school year beginning online, it is imperative that we work together to help your child succeed. I will be open and honest with my communication and ask that you do the same. Please be patient with me and your child as we navigate virtual learning.

I am aware of your other overwhelming responsibilities during this time. Be assured that I fully understand and take into consideration your predicament. So, please do not feel so inundated by the tasks listed for you or your child. If it will be easier, you can have your own schedule and work at your pace to make the tasks more manageable for both of you. Attached to this letter, you will find important information. Please look over it as soon as possible and reach out to me with any questions. My email is mariquit.aguila@wccusd.net and my mobile number is (415) 484 6295.
