WorkAbility I

WorkAbility I in partnership with WCCUSD Special Education Department is an array of services for special education students ages 14-22. It is designed to promote career awareness and exploration while students complete their secondary education. WorkAbility I in partnership with School-to-Career provides students with opportunities for job shadowing paid and non-paid work experience and ongoing support and guidance.

 

Transition Partnership Program (TPP)

In partnership with the Department of Rehabilitation, we offer employment assistance and ongoing case management services to our post-secondary students.

STEPS FOR SERVICES WITH WORKABILITY I/TRANSITION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

1. Application from your child's Special Education Teacher to the School-To-Career Department for services with a request for:

A. Vocational Assessment- preferably sophomore year OR
B. Transition Services

2. Set up a career plan:

        • Competitive employment experience

        • Supported employment experience

        • Community services

        • Vocational classes

        • College preparatory classes

        • Junior college requirements

        • Four-year college requirements

        • Post high school educational services, i.e., connecting to disabled student services programs, post secondary agencies that assist you with your goals!
