TEMPLATE FOR UNIT

PROJECT TITLE:

OVERVIEW OF PROJECT: Brief description, including time frame and what subjects are related and integrated; how lessons are interrelated. Tell what the students will know, what they will understand, and what skills they will learn.

UNIT OUTCOME: Include product/result, or action statement, and discussion of assessment).

Product,/result = the actual tangible product arising from the unit

Action statement = what they will learn or accomplish

CONDITIONS: The who, what, where, and how of the activities.

CRITERIA: The level of performance for mastery.

STANDARDS: State reference used for standards (e.g. State Language Arts’ Standards and Benchmarks)

MATERIALS: Each lesson gives a list of the materials needed.

ASSESSMENT: This unit uses the General Rubric and the Life Skill Rubric. The General Rubric should be adapted for the specific subject by filling in the blanks with subject criteria.

MODIFICATIONS/ACCOMMODATIONS: Each lesson includes suggestions for modifying the lesson as well as accommodating special needs’ students. These must be interpreted as suggestions only and are not all-inclusive.

STANDARDS: Each lesson refers to the State Standards and Benchmarks applicable as well as the LCE or Life Skills.
