OUTCOME: Students will learn how to transplant cutting and seedlings into bigger containers for optimal growth and production.
CONDITIONS: This lesson should require one class period with follow up watering.

PROCEDURE:
1. Identify the cuttings and seedlings to be transplanted (outgrowing their current containers).
2. Fill in the clean containers with potting soil.
3. Using the thumb, forefinger, or stick, make holes in the soil into which the cuttings are to transplanted.
4. Transplant cuttings, making sure there is good contact between the roots and stems, into the planting soil.
5. Water. Keep plants moist.
MATERIALS: plants, containers, potting soil, water.
MODIFICATIONS/ACCOMODATIONS: Students may help one another with this procedure.
