Wilson Elementary realizes that education is a collaborative process, which includes the parents, students and the community as equal partners. We also realize that we have to provide support services to our children and their families. We are working to enlist the support of local businesses and community organizations in our program. Parents and guardians are the first teachers in a child’s life. They know their children better than anyone else. Therefore, we realize that involving parents is essential to the process of improving student achievement. Wilson offers many opportunities for parents and community members to volunteer and to share in the school programs. The staff, parents and community are dedicated to working together to create a learning environment is valued by everyone.
