WHEN: Beginning January 8, 2007, 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.—3:00 p.m.

WHERE: Each elementary school (register at your school of residency)
Determine your school of residency
Look up school addresses and contact information

BRING:

• Proof of age ( Must be 5 years old by December 2, 2007)
• Birth certificate or baptismal record
  Information on ordering copies of birth certificates from Contra Costa County
  Information on ordering copies of birth certificates from Alameda County
• Proof of immunizations
• Proof of residence: PG&E bill and driver's license or other I.D. with residence address, or one other bill or document: water, garbage, telephone, social services statement, bank statement. (NO CELL PHONE)

OTHER INFORMATION: Some schools will offer morning (A.M.) and afternoon (P.M.) kindergartens. Parents must indicate preference. Call the resident school for information.

Parents registering their children in Spanish or Mien may receive assistance January 8-31, 2007, 8:30 a.m.—4:00 p.m. at EL Support Services, RAP Center, 230 Harbour Way South, Room 10A, Richmond, CA, 94801. Please call call (510) 232-8050 to schedule an appointment for translation assistance.

LA INSCRIPCIÓN PARA LOS ALUMNOS DE KINDERGARTEN

• DEL 8 AL 31 DE ENERO DE 2007
• 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• DONDE: EN CADA ESCUELA PRIMARIA

TRAIGA: COMPROBANTE DE LA EDAD (debe haber cumplido 5 años antes o para el día 2 de diciembre de 2007). Traiga uno de los siguientes documentos:

• Acta de nacimiento
• Certificado de bautismo
• Pasaporte
• COMPROBANTE DE INMUNIZACIONES (libreta de vacunas)
• COMPROBANTE DE DOMICILIO:
• Cuenta del gas y electricidad (PG& E Bill) y
• la licencia de conducir u otro tipo de identificación que contenga el domicilio o una cuenta de: agua, basura, teléfono, (no se aceptan recibos de teléfonos celulares) una declaración de servicios sociales, o una declaración de una cuenta bancaria.

OTRO: ALGUNAS ESCUELAS OFRECERÁN AMBAS SESIONES PARA EL KINDERGARTEN, EN LA MAÑANA (A.M) Y EN LA TARDE (P.M) LOS PADRES DEBEN INDICAR SU PREFERENCIA.

Para los padres que necesitan asistencia en inscribir a sus hijos, se ofrece ayuda con traducción en español y mien en el Centro R.A.P. Servicios de Apoyo para los Aprendices de Inglés.
