Measure J, the school district parcel tax, requiring a two-thirds vote, did not pass. 62.4% of voters voted yes, 37.6 voted no.

Propositions 57 and 58, measures that allow the state to issue $15 billion in bonds to help balance the 2004-05 state budget, both passed.

These results put the district in fiscal "scenario 3," in which we face estimated reductions of $17.8 million.

Prop 55, the state school construction bond measure, passed with a 50.6 percent yes vote.
